Sogo Computers took a high jump from #37 rank last year to #26 rank in the Next 25 Group in 2001-02. However, the
company like many others, fell short of achieving its targeted turnover of Rs 80 crore and settled for Rs 70 crore instead.
Though the company was on a fast track in 2000-01, growing at a rate of 136 percent, achieving a 35 percent hike in its agency revenues during 2001-02 was no mean task considering the prevalent conditions.

Last fiscal saw the company launch its own branded PCs, Sogo, targeting the home and SOHO segment. This initiative, according to G Jayamuni Rao, President, contributed significantly to the company's growth. Among other factors propelling Sogo's growth, he gives the credit largely to his loyal channel base of over 600 partners and hardwork put in by his employees.
The company opened a retail outlet for HP Presarios. The company also channelized its effort towards putting in place a strong after-sales and support team.
