Agrani Technoaid, the services arm of Agrani Switch, is all set to tap into
the vast market for after-sales service of technology products. Agrani is
positioning Technoaid as a one-stop service shop for all technology products
ranging from basic landline phones to cellphones to computers.
A comprehensive hub and spoke model has been developed to ensure faster turn
around time. Each Agrani Switch retail outlet will act as a Technoaid Point. The
products dropped at these points will then be shipped to Technoaid service
centers for repair. Each service center will serve ten to 15 Technoaid Points.

Three service centers, one each in Delhi, Chandigarh and Chennai are already
functional. In all, these centers serve 18 Technoaid points as of now. The
company is looking at increasing this number to 45 by the year-end.
Says Sanjeev Sood, Sr Manager Services, "We will have 29 service centers
by 2005." He further adds, "Technoaid Points will offer quality
service at a cost-effective price-point." To ensure a consistent quality of
service, all technicians will be company employees while the outlets will be
franchised out. "All product services will be carried out as has been
specified by the vendors," assures Sanjeev.
To address the issue of spare parts, Mother Centers are also being set up.
"We are tying up with vendors to ensure a smooth supply of proprietary
spares," says he.
