Mumbai-based SI, Allied Digital has bagged an order worth Rs 10 crore from Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) to deploy PCs, printers and also transfer data from GAIL´s old machines. The company is expected to execute this order within eight weeks.

The company would deploy 1,424 IBM PCs and 225 printers at 54 GAIL locations spread across the country. Allied claims that the project is unique as it calls for the installation of these machines at GAIL locations spread far and wide across the country. To add to the complexity of this installation is the nightmarish task of transferring data from 700 old PCs without the loss of any data, the company claimed.
