Allied Telesyn has appointed Delhi-based Advent electronics as its fourth

regional distributor in the country. The other distributors include Leading Edge

in the western region and Cosmos and Netplace in the northern region. Says

Chander Purswani, Country Manager, Allied Telesyn, "We will appoint maximum

of two distributors in each region. Currently we are focussed on western and

northern market."

Allied Telesyn has selected a dual channel network of regional distributors

and SIs to further its reach in the country. It has appointed Omnitech, Kaybee

Electronics, Newtech Networking, Intercomm Systems, Chipcom Systems and

Miltronics as its SI partners. Talks are underway with CMS and Global

Telesystems to sign them on as the company’s SI.

Chander also informs that the company has managed to put in place a warranty

policy of offering off-the-shelf replacement for its products in under seven

days. "Netplace is our national service partner and we are now endeavoring

to bring the turnaround time down to 48 hours."

Chander also informs that the company has touched the sales figure of last

year’s turnover in the past three months itself.
