ASIRT: Strength of System Integrators

Association of System Integrators & Retailers in Technology (ASIRT) is the System Integrators (SI) and Retailer focused association that understand and address the challenges faced by  the SI community. With an aim to build partnerships and help the SI community to reach higher goals and expand business boundaries, Seventeen SIs and Retailers came together and laid the foundation of the association in 2012.

ASIRT understands the actual needs of SIs which are otherwise overlooked by the trade associations. It does not only advocates for betterment of SI community, but takes up various initiatives that has helped its members to scale up their businesses. Today, ASIRT is one of the few most active and respected IT associations in India.

Committed for growth of SIs

ASIRT is managed by a governing board of 11 people and it operates in highly professional manner. IT is one of the few IT associations which take constant efforts for benefits of its members. ASIRT through its various initiatives, not only strengthen the SI and Retailer community but further escalate their growth. ASIRT has launched unique online portal www.mumbaiITstreet.com where end-users find IT partner with required competencies in area around them. Every month it organizes ASIRT Tech Day where various evolve sessions by industry leaders help its members hone their business skills and give a new impetus to their sales, marketing, online promotion, technical prowess.

The opportunity sessions at Tech day have helped members forge relationships with various vendors improving their business reach and growth. Its Evolve Tool helps businesses gain an understanding cost effective business practices. With various consortiums of ASIRT members, members partner and collaborate with each other to address and fulfill customer needs in an area they use the expertise of other members and do not lose the order.

Major Achievements

ASIRT has been successful in driving growth in the system integration segment. One of the biggest achievements was ASIRT representation to government relenting and agreeing to keep assembled computers out of ambit of DeITy Compulsory Registration Order at BIS / BEE for 2 years. This is why system builders are still able to assemble and sell computers without getting them tested at government labs and getting approvals.

The launch of ASIRT Evolve Tool, an Excel sheet that helps businesses gain an understanding of the cost of doing business and thus the price they should charge the end - customer to become profitable can be termed as one of the most significant successes. ASIRT banners and standees at retailer members have successfully helped its members to convert footfalls to orders despite the unethical predatory practice of online retail.

ASIRT is committed to work towards ensuring a healthy and profitable state for the SI community by fostering increased collaboration among the SI and Retail community. The association aims to build its member base to include over 250 System integrators and Retailers in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai and gradually build other chapters across the country.
