Aspire Research Complex launched

Aspire Research Complex, established by the Acer Group, has been launched as

the first innovation and R&D base founded by a private sector in Taiwan.

Echoing with Taiwan National Development Plan, the complex aims to be a global

and diversified center for future innovation model, creating cluster effects and

making contributions to the development of Taiwan knowledge-based economy.

Stan Shih, Chairman and CEO of Acer Group said, "The Aspire Research

Complex will be a perfect and life-long learning environment, as well as a solid

infrastructure for the knowledge-based economy. We are confident about forming a

new model for the next-generation R&D and innovation to attract individuals

and corporations with significant knowledge capitals."

Aspire Research Complex is located in the Aspire Park, focusing on business

applications in research results and market needs; its initial subjects will

target on IC design and digital content. The Complex consists of Aspire IC

Design Institute, Aspire Digital Creation Institute, Aspire Incubation Center,

Acer Value Lab, Innovation Center for Individual Corporation, and Aspire

Research Complex Service Center.
