Systems integration, maintenance services and banking as a vertical were the three core areas that saved the day for CMS Computers. The company which had grown by only three percent in 2000-01, had an overall growth of 14 percent last year.
And this has helped it climb from its erstwhile position of #13 in DQCI Silver Club to #11 this year.

Besides these tie-ups, the company focused its energies on protecting profitability. Data cards and volume printers were two niche product areas which brought in some good money for the company. It also bagged a Rs 15 crore order from Standard Chartered bank.
During the year the company invested Rs 60 crore on building infrastructure for its outsourcing business of maintenance
