Service and customer satisfaction has always been the forte of Logix
Microsystems. Established in 1988 by Sanjay Sonie, a graduate in commerce from
Mumbai University, today the company has more than 700 satisfied customers
spread across different industrial sectors, research, financial and educational
organizations among others.
Confident that software was the way to the a successful future, Sanjay
diverted his business operations from systems integration to become a
value-added solutions provider in the CRM arena in the 90s.
Today, Logix Microsystems is an international consulting company focusing on
delivering web-enabled solutions to enterprises and dotcom companies. "We
are one of the leading service firms with a strength of over 140 professionals
working from seven cities across four countries," says a proud Sanjay.

Logix Microsystems also has established a well-known identity for itself in
the southern IT industry as a leading solution provider in the CRM market space.
It boasts of partnerships with leading global companies such as Siebel Systems,
Great Plains Software, SAP, Oracle, Navision, Hummingbird Communications and
Secure Computing.
Logix also offers e-business applications for distribution, project
accounting, e-commerce, human resource management, manufacturing, sales and
marketing management, and customer service and support.
SUCCESS TRIGGERED BY EXPERTISE
Logix´s in-depth domain knowledge in its focus areas is the key to the
successful execution of the company´s various strategic initiatives and
projects. "We have a team of outstanding professionals who possess the
right blend of technological, functional, analytical and operational
skills," says Gopal Krishna CJ, Regional Manager-Sales, Logix Microsystems.
According to him, Logix´s strong process orientation is a manifestation of the
company´s commitment to provide top quality solutions and services.
The Logix CRM practice is focused on providing industry-specific solutions to
clients in various regions. As an alliance partner of US-based Siebel Systems,
Logix is well positioned to take advantage of the CRM opportunities in the
market. Add to this its well-established project management experience and
implementation methodologies that have been perfected in the ERP marketplace.
Logix has a large resource pool of consultants who have expertise in the areas
of CRM, ERP and SCM.

The company has also fine-tuned its strategy for creating closed loop
solutions for clients that enables them to seamlessly transact business over the
Web, fax or phone. "The CRM practice of Logix Microsystems has leveraged
the internal knowledge base so that every B2B/B2C transaction is captured,"
says one satisfied client.
Logix also has the capability to provide a high degree of backward, forward
and horizontal integration to clients so that their own long-term revenue
streams are ensured. "We understand the client´s business objectives and
their drivers," says a confident Sanjay. Today, Logix can provide a
customer relationship interface that can help the client dramatically improve
productivity and customer satisfaction.
"Logix has a formidable arsenal of business and technology services
allowing us to add value beyond application delivery and implementation, to
areas like process re-engineering," says Pushpa Raj Shetty of Tata Tele
Services.
Ultimately, the most competitive edge of any organization is its people.
According to Pushpa Raj, the solutions provided by Logix enables people to be
more productive, more knowledgeable and surer of performing their tasks.
THE GROWTH SAGA
Logix metamorphosed from being an organization offering IT training to corporate
clients into a full-fledged IT solutions company. It became a limited company in
1996, with 35.6 percent share held by the public, 25.19 percent by financial
institutions and 11 percent by NRIs. Today, Logix´s shares are quoted in the
Bombay and Bangalore Stock exchanges.
But it was not an easy start for Logix. Reminiscing about the start-up days,
Sanjay says, "When we ventured into providing software solutions, the
market itself was in its nascent stage and getting orders was not an easy
task." With just a head-count of about 10-12 staff, it recorded a turnover
of Rs 3 crore in its very first year of operation as solutions provider.
"Rs 3 crore of turnover in hardware business is easy, but earning the
same in software solutions is very difficult," says Sanjay, recalling his
days of struggle. Today, Logix has to its credit a strong and dedicated team of
125, which also helped the company sustain the slowdown blow. The company
recorded a 35 percent growth during the downturn when several other companies
recorded a flat or negative growth.
Logix Microsystems has also been a recipient of the coveted and
well-contested Hummingbird Ruby Throat Silver Award for outstanding performance
and contribution in the APac region. "The award reflects our outstanding
sales performance and our effective role in helping address customer problems,
through effective deployment of Hummingbird’s host access and network
connectivity software solutions," says Sanjay with a smile.
GOING OVERSEAS
Couple of years ago, Logix was in the headlines with its announcement to
foray into the overseas market. Today, it has a multi-million, state-of-the-art
infrastructure with offices in USA, Middle East, India and Singapore.
"Logix has chalked out a detailed growth plan by diversifying into CRM,
ERP and e-commerce marketplace," informs Sanjay. This plan would also
include a significant increase in the scale of operations and infrastructure.
Apart from CRM and ERP, the focus of Logix, Sanjay said, will be in the areas of
design, development, support, outsourcing and maintenance of software
applications.
Also on the cards are domestic expansion plans. The company plans to have its
presence felt in several upcountry markets, which according to Sanjay would
happen in the not too distant future.
Sanjay is of the firm belief that hard work and providence will help his
company grow not only nationally but globally as well.
