With margins coming down in integration, CMS is actively looking for newer areas like WAP and has joined hands with a foreign company for WAP as well as smart card implementation.

Recently it tied up with Datacard and OCE to offer personalization solutions for banking, telecom and government sectors. Through this tie-up CMS hopes to provide solutions to the home, external affairs and defense ministries and help implementation of e-governance for state and central governments.

CMS has already won a major contract from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to provide total solutions for e-governance. The project called TWINS (Twin Cities Network Services) will provide the citizens of Hyderabad and Secunderabad selected services and information on departments and agencies of state and central governments. CMS has also provided smart-card solutions for Grindlays Bank, GE Capital and Citibank.

Last fiscal, CMS tied up with Peregrine for infrastructure management software including asset management and service management. It also started focusing on networking and tied up with Enterasys to sell and promote their range of switching products and wireless technology solutions. This year it will increase focus on networking.
