Spanco Telesystems and Solutions Ltd is a telecom systems integrator (SI) and an IT service provider (SP), which provides network engineering to its clients. The company has been offering its services to multinational companies, public sector units, defense sector, business process outsourcing (BPOs) companies and RFID. The network and SI solutions offered by Spanco comprise voice and non-voice BPO, as well as offshore software development and custom application develop­ment and maintenance. The company even offers solutions
for mobile applications and mobile e-payment that covers balancing cost, complexity and capacity for development, enhancement and maintenance for a comprehensive range of application areas.

Current infrastructure
Spanco is well equipped with all necessary skillsets as well as strong strategic relationships to provide end-to-end integrated solutions to its clients. It has a technically strong software integration team that designs and develops value-added solutions for customers from different verticals. The company has branch offices across the country and they work on independent basis when it comes to networking. The entire staff of Spanco shares a common platform through an e-mailing system. It further manages a self-sufficient infrastructure to develop its own BPO and application to support its functioning. The computer systems run on Windows, but a marginal trial is being given to Linux currently.

Proposed IT infrastructure for '09
Spanco has plans in store to implement an ERP application that will assist in providing desktop support, e-mail manage­ment, performance rating of the employees-thereby providing a wider common platform to its employees. The company would also be developing a long term supply management system (LTSM) while tying up with a supplier. It also plans to establish an in-house tool for secured inter-connectivity of all the offices, Intranet portal for single point to browse accompanied with all the security features. Also, in the lane are plans for developing an application to monitor the entire functioning of organizations across India through one point.

Current systems suppliers
Being an SI, Spanco has tied up with almost all the leading vendors in the industry. The company has partnered with Nortel, Polycom, IBM and HP to name a few. The company has plans to partner with a supplier that would help them with all its internal needs and external requirements. And one that would focus on the company's growth, provide solution that meet market demands and help Spanco achieve its desired growth.
