With its home brand Supercomp gaining more visibility, Supertron seems to set
for a whirlwind innings that is sure to last long
While Kolkata-based Supertron Electronic maintained it's bottomline, the
company made a significant growth for it's topline as well. From an overall 18
percent growth in the previous year, Supertron posted a steady 19 percent growth
in the last fiscal with a total turnover of Rs 165 crore (2005-06).
With the introduction of its own branded products under the brand name of
Supercomp which primarily offers customers a wide range of PC components like
speakers, keyboards, mouse and several USB devices like, MP3 player, bluetooth,
etc, the firm is well placed and well ahead of its competitors. Simultaneously,
the company has also been successful to reinforce its base through the Vintron
range of PCs.

The distributor from eastern India has further enhanced its distribution
business by adding up more number of branches across India under its cap than
the previous year. This particular sector was further boosted as Supertron
became the national distributor for Acer to dispense the latter's various
range of products. Also Supertron's tie-up with Transcend Information
International to distribute Transcend's entire range of products comprising of
flash drives, flash cards, MP3 players, memory and storage devices further
boosted the prospects of the disti.
Supertron also went on to explore a totally new genre of business segment as
it entered into a partnership with E-smart as their exclusive national
distributor for the latter's video conferencing equipments. With video
conferencing catching up the Indian industrial arena and government sector, the
specialized equipments are enabling such facilities to generate more efficacies
to the meetings, forcing increasing demand for them. Supertron, with their wide
spread network and years of experience entered the scene to tackle the lucrative
business prospect, which is still in the stage of concept selling and offers a
great challenge ahead.
The company has at the same time applied significant steps to strengthen its
HR department in order to recruit best motivated people to grow and achieve
along with Supertron's business vision and cross individual targets through
the present line of business verticals, as well as, introduction of future
tie-ups and products.
