2.Frontier Business Systems :Sultan Of The South

Last fiscal proved to be a very good one for Frontier, which bagged many large enterprise deals. The company also re-evaluated all business lines and drew up a strong organization structure to enable scaleable growth

Bangalore-based Frontier Business Systems entered new frontiers of growth all through the last fiscal and managed to clock revenues of Rs 197 crore, showing a good 11 percent growth. Having consolidated its business in South India, Frontier is now considering expansions into the North and West regions of the country.

The company added new offerings like security consulting and certification to its business, and started a new services division, while successfully launching the ITIL training and certification in Bangalore and Chennai.

The company also bagged many large enterprise deals from key customers that included a Rs 28 crore project from BHEL and a Rs 10 crore project from the Cyberabad Convention Center. The focus was also on setting up datacenters for customers, which provided some key wins as well.

Having ventured into information security consulting and managed services successfully, the company is now looking to scale across all regions in the country and expects about 25 percent of their net fiscal revenues to come from services.

Frontier also made some significant investments on development of soft skills especially for the key management team in order to help them handle large revenue volumes.

Drawing up three-year plans, Frontier is looking at doubling their turnover to Rs 400 crore by 2010. It intends to open offices in West India, and is evaluating options for services outside India.

The system integration skills have been put into use in large implementations covering multiple IT infrastructure areas.
