An anonymous person has managed to grab the undue attention of dealers in Jaipur. Using an e-mail newsletter called IT Khabri, the anonymous person has been pointing our various pain areas of the channel community in Rajasthan and has taken it upon himself to be the mouthpiece of the local channel.

The executive committee members of Rajasthan Computers Traders' Association (RCTA) seemed to be at the receiving end of the newsletters. The newsletter highlighted the inactive attitude of the association and blamed executive members for utilizing the association for their personal benefits. It further criticized members for not showing any responsibility towards issues like cheque bouncing, squeezing margins and vendor-partner relationship. According to market resources, the prime objective of the sender seems to be to replace the existing executive body of the association.

The mail also highlighted the names of a few dealers whose payments were not clear in the market. He further urged dealers to throw light on more issues that could be highlighted among the rest of the channel community.

According to one dealer who was pro IT Khabri, “The inert attitude of the association is evident from the fact that more than one and a half years have passed since RCTA's elections were to be conducted, and for a long time there has been no news regarding the IT fair or activities in the state.”

The general feeling among dealers in Jaipur was that the contents of the newsletter clearly reflect that someone is trying to play politics in the channel community and is aiming to break the association.
