The TravelMate C202 is Acer's fifth-generation tablet PC, and sports a patented sliding-track mechanism for convertible notebook functionality, that converts between notebook and slate modes. The sliding track permits one-motion convertibility between slate mode and notebook/keyboard with 125-degree display angle, facilitating easier sharing of onscreen information and its
capture.
Announcing the launch, S Rajendran, GM-Sales and Marketing, Consumer Products Group, Acer India said, "The healthcare sector is one of our focus markets because of the unique features of the tablet PC that enable doctors
to increase their efficiency and maintain up-to-date online records. TravelMate C202 with its unique sliding mechanism and biometric security, will set the standard for the tablet PC market."
The Acer TravelMate C202 is equipped with Soft Button, an onscreen launcher that centralizes
access for efficient operation along with a built-in scroll wheel that provides up and down functions in tablet and notebook modes. An easy-to-operate trackpoint acts as a compact replacement for an external mouse and a full-size EMR pen (with eraser and calibration controls) and 84-/85-key keyboard makes data input comfortable in both operating modes.
The tablet PC is available at Rs 94,999, exclusive of taxes.
