Almost 350 channel partners and vendor representatives turned up on a rainy evening in Kolkata to attend the 10th annual The DQ Week awards night. The awards, which aim to felicitate the channel partners for their contribution and outstanding achievement in the IT channel space, on its third stop happened in Kolkata last week. As with the other centers, the foremost IT association of Eastern India-Compass supported the event. Pawan Jajodia, President, Compass through his address elaborated about the various plans that the association has for its partner base.

The first ever The DQ Week-Compass award was bagged by Sumit Lundhia of Starcomp Infotech. The event kick started with Anil Pant, VP-Channels, Sify unveiling the company's latest offering-the thin client solution.

This was followed by the awards night wherein 27 channel partners from various cities of East India were handed out awards by leading vendor representatives. What was worth noting was that despite the bandhs, strikes and floods, partners managed to attend the event. The awards night was sponsored by Sify, D-Link, Microworld, Delta Peripherals, Gigabyte, Epson, and HT Impex.
