The meet, held in association with Microsoft, was an effort to emphasize the importance of original software among customers

Erode-based sub distributor Zigma Computer Links conducted its first ever customer meet along with Microsoft last week. The program-Connect with Growth, was aimed at corporate customers. “The event was restricted to corporate customers. Our aim was to provide our customers with a unique opportunity to engage and interact with in-house experts of Microsoft, and obtain key insights to expand their business,” said B Dharmaraj, Managing Partner, Zigma Computer Links. The event saw participation of around 100 corporate customers ranging from police to educational institutions from Erode, Namakkal and Salem. S Sreenivas, Business Development Manager, Microsoft Corporation educated the customers on the various licensing policies of Microsoft during the first session. “Licensing is a major problem in the upcountry regions, as customers generally don't pay for the software they are using and want everything free. The session on the licensing policies of Microsoft was really useful for us in terms of communicating the benefits of OEM to customers,” Dharmaraj claimed. Apart for licensing policies, the focus of the event was on the solutions offered by Microsoft, where customers were educated on the emerging trends and the solutions available with Microsoft. “We are the only certified partner for Microsoft in Erode and we are about to become Gold Certified partner in another two weeks time. We will soon start dealing with more technical products. The sessions focused on Microsoft server and their ERP solutions showcased our potential to the customers in handling such solutions,” he said.

Speaking on the importance of conducting such meets Dharmaraj said, “Instead of going behind each and every customer and convincing them on our ability, these kind of seminars create an impact on customers and increases the mindshare of both the products and dealers involved. Zigma looks forward to conducting similar seminars in future.”
