AsusTek Computer launched its notebooks for individuals, corporates, home users to professionals and gamers. In the first phase, the company has introduced five models in India-Digital home-W1V, A5E, thin and light-W5A, M5A, S5A.

All Asus notebooks are launched under the Intel Sonoma platform coupled with minimum 512MB ram. On the leisure front Asus has launched W1 series of notebooks having built-in home theatre system.

The thin and light range of Asus attends to the needs of 'computing anytime, anywhere'. All the notebooks undergo tests like shock test, drop test, EMI test and hinge test. All laptops are priced between Rs 58,000 to 1,25,000 and come with a two-year warranty.

Features of the digital home notebooks are hairline alloy cover; mobile theater software; sub-woofer, surrounding sound effect; 5-in-1 card reader and BT. Other features are audio DJ console; Power 4 Gear+ power saving technology, battery life up to 3 hours and ADTD II thermal dissipation system.

The features of the thin and light laptops are 12.1” screen; 180 degree swivel 1.3 mega pixel web camera with three-function key; 4-in-1 card reader and BT. Other features are Power 4 Gear+ power saving technology, battery life up to six hours; ADTD II exclusive thermal dissipation system and built-in RF mouse receiver, free bundle ASUS wireless RF mouse (Logitech OEM). Notebooks in the thin and light range have similar features.
