Tellabs announced the launch of Tellabs IntegratedMobile solution in Asia Pacific. The solution efficiently advances mobile networks from 2G to 3G and beyond, supporting all technologies used in mobile networks. The Tellabs IntegratedMobile solution enables service providers to achieve up to 40 percent capital expense savings when building a single R5 3G network, compared with a traditional ATM-based network and meet increasing bandwidth demands with future-proof backhauling at higher bandwidths, a requirement that operators now face with High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) or evolution-data only (EV-DO) launches.

The Tellabs 8600 managed edge system, provides a total network solution optimized for mobile networks, especially where space is constrained but reliability and modularity requirements are high. The Tellabs 8600 system delivers real-time voice and video, QoS-aware data and best-effort services over wireless or wireline infrastructure. The Tellabs IntegratedMobile solution is managed by the Tellabs 8000 network manager, which enables faster rollout of differentiated 3G services and support of all technologies used in 2G and 3G networks.
