AGENCY REVENUE (RS Cr)

CMS Computers’ 9% growth in agency revenue helped it climb two notches up in the Silver Club

CMS Computers' modest growth of 9% saw it better its Silver Club ranking this year. It now stands at #9, up two notches from last year's #11 position. The company accrued Rs 180 crore in agency revenues with networking and systems integrations pitching in Rs 62 crore and Rs 64 crore respectively.

The company had a string of new tie-ups last year. It signed up with US-based Stratus Technologies for selling, installation and supporting the company's range of fault-tolerant servers.

Among other alliances were Bincor-Nixdorf for ATM installation, Bowe Systems for mailing automation equipment, NetApp for NAS and Backbone for backup solutions. Brocade Communications also appointed CMS as its first qualified Indian support partner.

CMS bagged several high-value projects last year, including the networking of 200 branches od LIC, which was worth over Rs 25 crore. “We also implemented the Kaveri land registration project for the Karnataka Government,” informs S Ramadorai, Director, CMS Computers. It also worked on the smart card-based customer loyalty program for Indian Oil Corporation.

Last year, CMS saw a good part of its business coming from IT outsourcing projects. These include generation of customized bank statements and mailing it to the end-users of financial institu-tions like HDFC, Standard Charter-ed and American Express.

It also handled the mobile phone billings for Reliance Infocom.
