In order to enable prompt redressal of service issues, D-Link India has set
up three service centers in the country – one each in Mumbai, Delhi and
Bangalore. "These service centers are being handled directly by D-Link
branches and not through any outsourced agency," clarifies Prabodh Vyas,
Director-Sales, D-Link India.
Until recently, D-Link used to provide service support through its service
center at its Goa manufacturing facility.
Lately, channel members were not very happy with D-Link’s procedure of
providing service support.

Many channel partners, who did not wish to be named, had expressed their
displeasure over the delays caused by D-Link in providing prompt service
support. "The process of identifying problem and getting it repaired at the
Goa factory and then awaiting for the repaired product’s return was a time
consuming process," complains one reseller.
"The purpose of having these service centers is aimed at doing away with
the transit time to and from Goa," says Prabodh.
However, D-Link is yet to provide support from these centers for its complete
range of products. As of now, only motherboards are being serviced from the new
service centers. "We are planning to add modems soon," reveals Prabodh.
