“We have been focusing on the smaller cities since the past two years to increase Dell’s presence. The current market penetration of  computers and laptops is 10% while from an industry point of view, we intend to have a 25% market penetration in 3 years time,” said P Krishnakumar, vice-president, consumer & small enterprises, Dell India.

Dell India has partnered with e-commerce portals Flipkart and Snapdeal for its merchandise to be sold there. The company is striving to ensure that its PCs and laptops are affordable and reachable to as many people as it can. Dell does not legally sell its merchandise to Amazon.com, but is in the process of closing a deal with the e-commerce giant.
