DPS to go retail with Doc View

Pune-based Digital Publishing Solutions International Ltd (DPSL), a specialist content processing and application development company, has decided to employ the channel to sell its products in the Indian market. It will also take its latest solution, DX Doc View, through the retail network by AMJ 2003. This was revealed by Himanshu Goel, VP-Sales, DPSL in an exclusive chat with DQCI. The company does not rule out plans to appoint a national distributor for DX Doc View later next year. At the moment it is managing operations from its branch offices in Delhi and

Currently the price of DX Doc View is Rs 1 lakh for a five-user license. Says Himanshu, "Once we enter the retail market, we might work out a more viable pricing to make the product more feasible to buyers."

The company has already appointed seven solution providers who will sell its suite of products. "We want to engage another seven partners by the end of this calendar year. But we are looking at partners who can provide a complete solution, rather than piecemeal services to our customers in the publishing and content development niche," adds

Himanshu.

DX Doc View manages a repository of scanned content for corporates. DPS has a set of XML driven products and services, based on the business proposition of supporting publisher requirements from content conversion to online selling, and every aspect of the ePublishing value chain. The combined technology framework is called the DX Publishing Suite. Several of the DPS products address client initiated requirements to create real solutions for new revenue opportunities for both Publishers and

DPS. 

The company's technology team of 70 engineers work with a wide range of technologies including VB, ASP, C++, Java, Java Beans, SQL Server and Oracle. All DX Technology components are developed for deployment on Windows, Sun and Linux platforms.
