Fujitsu has announced the launch of an entry-level disk storage system for small and medium enterprises. The ETERNUS DX60 S3, part of the Eternus DX family, is globally available through distribution partners of Fujitsu and from the company itself.
The highlights of the product, compared with its predecessor, include; a faster host interface, better price to performance ratio, cache size has been doubled and snapshot and replication functions are enhanced. Further, the product offers improved support of virtualized server environments and enterprise features such as thin provisioning, which are usually found in more expensive, higher-classified systems, the company claims.
The device also comes with the in-house storage management suite ETERNUS SF Express. It can be upgraded to the full ETERNUS SF version which uses a controller-based licensing model.
