Newcomer Texonic Instruments recorded a drop of 18 percent in its agency revenue during the fiscal 2001-02. The company registered a revenue of Rs 36 crore, as compared to the previous fiscal´s turnover of Rs 44 crore, managing to just make it to the Next 25 Group.
Despite the negative growth, Texonic Instruments gained ground in Chennai´s IT market by launching TechZone–India´s first exclusive gadget store. The company also hopes to appoint franchises in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore by 2003, to open similar gadget stores.
The company has projected a turnover of Rs 1.5 crore from this division.
With close to 250 products on display, Texonic is an importer-distributor for components, networking and security products.
Texonic is also an authorized dealer for TVSE, an exclusive distributor for D-Link, a master reseller for Avaya cabling products and distributor for
Deltafull.
