Mercury to enter into optical device market

Encouraged by the response from Europe and the middle-east market for Mercury brand of optical devices, Kobian India has

announced its plans to launch optical devices in India as well.

Under the Mercury optical device portfolio, the company will offer 52X CDRW drives, 16X DVDROM drives and 56X

CDROM drives. "Kobian offers range of products for PC building blocks. With the

introduction of optical devices, channel partners will have the option of yet another better and aggressively priced product," says Rohit

Verma, Marcom Manager, Kobian India. 

Currently the company has setup service centers in nine locations. Kobian plans to support the optical devices directly through

its service centers. Kobian also intends to open more service centers in India.
