Krishnan Subramanian appointed as the country head of Meridian IT India

Expanding its footprints in the Asia-Pacific region, Meridian Group International, the global IT solutions and service provider have commenced its India operation with the launch of its Indian subsidiary Meridian IT India. The company announced the appointment of Krishnan Subramanian as the country head, sales of Meridian IT India. Headquartered in Mumbai, Meridian IT India will deliver IT system integrations, support, services and maintenance to a unique client base locally and internationally.

With Meridian IT already established in both Australia and Singapore, the Group recognized India as the next logical step to accelerate growth in the Asia Pacific region. Nick King, Chief Operating Officer, Meridian IT said that as the India is embracing the technology adoption at a very fast pace, Meridian IT would assist the businesses to improve their business productivity and efficiency through its technology solutions and services.

“India is a country with phenomenal growth prospects. In today’s business scenario, SMEs is driving force for any country and we see huge business opportunity in the SME space in India. Deeper domestic coverage of the vibrant Indian economy will enhance Meridian’s capabilities to service our diverse customer base. We will help to widen the scope with prompt delivery of services”, King said.

Kind said that Meridian IT India will further extend the reach of the Meridian IT Global Support Centre, which support, services and maintains clients’ worldwide infrastructure 24/7. At the initial stage, the company would largely focus on the Finance and Healthcare segment. However, King said that going forward, the company would penetrate into different industry domain.

Talking about its go to market strategy, Krishnan Subramanian said that Meridian IT India will have a direct presence in India and its sales force would drive the India operations.

He said that the company would make significant investment for the expansion of its India operations. Part of the funds will be invested to expand its branch locations in India and hiring sales, pre-sales and technical resources. A major chunk will go into setting up India global support center.
