Do we need BANDH? or Something Else?

Whatever happened in Pulwama is extremely sad, frustrating and disappointing. I am sure there is no Indian on this Earth who is not angry and upset with this horrendous incident.

I think there can be other ways to express the solidarity with the families of security personnel martyred in the Pulwama terror Attack

Bandh is a tool used to get attention of Government and Society at large. Why are we using it here?

Why and When do we need Bandh?

A Bandh or Hartal is required, when you want to get attention of the Government towards something that is wrong and the Government or the Society at large is not concerned with it.

In this case, everyone in India is already very concerned with this act of terror.

The bigger question remains, Does India need Bandhs?

We have seen people come to Candle march on one day, but in same Week when there were elections - the same people went on for holidays. How fair is this?

What else we could have done, other than Bandh?

1. Lets all work harder for just not one day but entire week and donate that extra money to Soldier's Family. We can donate here - https://bharatkeveer.gov.in/
2. Lots of people in India still evade taxes. Lets pledge to work hard for the country and also pay our taxes regularly and religiously. Remember, in order to make our Army strong, we need funds. Lots of funds.
3. Why is Swachh bharat Movement only being driven by Government of India. What are we doing as citizens of India? lets pledge to make our Street, Area, City, state and Country clean.
4. Almost all the students now want a safe and relaxed career. They are more concerned about Work-Life-Balance rather than doing something for their family or their Country. lets motivate our Children to do something for the country.

India needs more sincere tax payers, diligent citizens & Honest Entrepreneurs. India does not need Bandh.
