Neoteric gets exclusive distribution of Asus A7S266-VM motherboard

AsusTek, after recently appointing Neoteric as an additional distributor for premium Asus products, has given Neoteric an exclusive status to distribute

A7S266-VM model of Asus motherboard for AMD processors. "It is their confidence in us that has resulted in this initiative," says

market," says Viren.

Asus A7S266-VM incorporates the SiS 740 chipset to support AMD Socket A processors, support both DDR and SDR memory and integrated graphics, sound

and LAN. The motherboard has a SiS 961B Southbridge for ATA133 IDE interface support. 

The product is priced at an MRP of Rs 5,000. According to the company, the motherboard delivers breakthrough

performance and is value for entry-level or mainstream AMD systems. Taking advantage of

the SiS 740's advanced chipset architecture, the A7S266 motherboard has two DDR DIMM sockets, two SDR DIMM sockets, C-Media 4-channel CODEC

S/PDIF-out interface, an SiS 961B integrated 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet with Realtek

external PHY.

Other unique features include Power Loss Restart, Asus JumperFree, SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) and Asus COP (CPU Overheating Protection).
