Suvidha Srivastava: Sky is the Limit

 

Current job profile - Suvidha currently heads the HR function of Team Computers. She handles the end-to-end HR practice, right from recruitments to the operations aspects of the human resource department. She joined Team Computers four years back and has rapidly climbed up the success ladder. She was assigned to handle training and development department and hiring senior level professionals. She was entrusted with the initiative to redefine the recruitment process. Soon Suvidha was promoted to deputy manager in a span of one year and then last year promoted to handle the HR department. Suvidha says that at Team Computers, one can explore limits and reach the goals.

 

 

Educational background - Suvidha did his graduation from Delhi University and BCA from IGNOU. She is an MBA from JIMS Kalkaji, IP University with specialization in HR & International Business. Apart from this, she is an APTECH certified software engineer (holds a 3-year diploma).

 

Family Background

 

Born and brought up in Delhi, Suvidha comes from a close-knit family. She says, "Both my parents are retired now. I have a younger brother who works with an auto finance company as deputy manager, sister-in-law and their little angel who is totally adorable. Since childhood I wanted to become an IAS officer."

 

Handling HR of an IT company

 

"I love being part of the IT industry since I am a Qualified Software Engineer. Quality of high-skilled people and managing their behavior is a challenging part." says Suvidha. It also keeps her updated with the emerging technology. Prior to joining Team Computers, she was working with Compare Infobase.

 

Working in male-dominated field of IT

 

Suvidha feels that IT is not male dominated anymore. In her own words, she has never felt a challenge. In fact, she shares a good rapport with all senior people in the industry.

 

Advice to working women

 

'Be professional and focused' is her sincere advice to working women. She believes that always giving your best and not expecting too much works wonderfully. It is a big challenge juggling home and office. "When I am with my family, I enjoy every bit of that moment," says Suvidha with a smile.

 

Hobbies

 

A fun loving person that Suvidha is, she likes watching movies in theater with friends. Spending time with family and sleeping a lot in leisure time apart from watching TV are her other favorite pastimes. .

 

Future plans

 

"I want to be an advisor to the business and grow myself as a key decision maker in a company. I want to cultivate a culture of performance and competency oriented PMS. Members should plan their career themselves and Team is a platform to help them achieve that. I want to see our organization in Top 3 great places to work, " she concludes with her determination simply evident.
