The Authorized Rashi Partner (ARP) meet on a cruise liner was unique for two

reasons: first, no vendor or distributor had taken partners on a cruise until

then to discuss business; second, the trip was not based on any incentive

scheme.

A total of 84 partners from major metros as well as other cities including

Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Indore, Bhopal,

Thiruva-nanthapuram and Pondi-cherry flew in to Singapore to board SuperStar

Virgo that had a capacity of nearly 2,000 passengers in 980 cabins.

The cruise sailed off from Singapore on 4th November evening with the ARP

meet taking place on the morning of 5th, just for three hours. Rashi wanted to

pander to the enjoyment instincts of partners to the maximum, and in the

process, capture their unstinted loyalty. In his opening address, Suresh made it

clear to partners that their relationship with Rashi was meant to improve their

entrepreneurial spirit.

PRINCIPALS BOOST BUSINESS

Rashi was successful in bringing together almost all of their principals for the
meet. Microtek had joined hands with Rashi to strengthen its sales and support

which was found lacking with the earlier tie-ups.

AsusTek was represented by Shawn Shu, a familiar name among partners. He

spoke of P-4 mother-boards and notebooks, especially the soon-to-be-launched

fingerprint ID notebook.

SONY WITH STORAGE PRODUCTS

Shigeru Iwata from Sony announced that his organization would begin a Sony

Authorized Partner program in collaboration with Rashi by April 2002. This

promise was fulfilled by Sony in May this year when it took 27 partners to

Singapore.

Eric Lu from Prolink claimed that Rashi was number one in selling PixelView

products in the whole of South-East Asia. He said that Prolink will continue to

manufacture state-of-the-art VGA and LCD monitors and multimedia products and

distribute them through Rashi.

Short and crisp presentations marked the ARP Meet which was kept lively by

on-the-spot lucky draw prizes amounting to over Rs 3 lakh. "Rashi has made

a sincere attempt to entertain partners to the hilt by keeping the official meet

less than half a day while the entire trip and cruise lasted for full five

days," pointed out Prakash Gupta of Bhopal-based Bootcom Systems.

Loyalty and commitment is what Rashi wants from its partners and there is no

doubt about the fact that the ARP meet has generated enough of it.
