Vodafone launches global design stores in Kolkata

Vodafone India has launched five global design outlets in Kolkata, in its bid to boost retail presence and enhance distribution and reach in the city. Vodafone's global design stores will offer array of services through specially designated sections such as a 3G zone for experiencing mobile internet, the Vodafone Red zone, where customers can get a lowdown on postpaid offers to the M-pesa zone to catch the latest offers on the telco's mobile money transfer service.

Vodafone India has launched five global design outlets in Kolkata, in its bid to boost retail presence and enhance distribution and reach in the city. Vodafone's global design stores will offer array of services through specially designated sections such as a 3G zone for experiencing mobile internet, the Vodafone Red zone, where customers can get a lowdown on postpaid offers to the M-pesa zone to catch the latest offers on the telco's mobile money transfer service.

These global format retail outlets will also include self-service kiosks for bill payments and recharges and a red box for customers transfer content from a handset to a smartphone. In addition, Vodafone customers in the city will also be able to choose from a wide range of Zoo Zoo merchandise, ranging from dolls to mugs, from the take me home section in these stores.

"Simultaneous launch of five global design stores on a single day in Kolkata is led by the company's customer centricity focus," said Anand Sahai, Vodafone India, business head, West Bengal.
