Today, hybrid integration is becoming more and more popular with organisations wanting to move their data to hybrid architecture. This poses challenges to the system integrators (SIs) as there are different types of hybrid integration tools that work on different architectural platforms. Further, SIs have to find a balance between hybrid integration requirements, resources available with the participating systems, time available and the willing of the participating systems to allow sharing of their internal data on the hybrid integration platform. Further, if an organisation has one company's server and wants to integrate different type of applications from another company on it, the SIs may face problems.

Another problem is the fast evolving technology. Organisations want to install a hybrid integration once and want it to serve their purpose for a long time. But in a year or so, the tools, applications or the architecture may become outdated or the organisation may need a different set of integration. Upgrading the integration architecture requires time, money and resources and many organisations often are not in a position to go for it.  Further, many organisations don't calculate the cost of post-integration maintenance. They assume that there won't be any post-integration maintenance required. However, in most cases, this is not the case and when post-integration maintenance is required, this poses many complexities for the SIs.

Hence, SIs should be updated with the changing hybrid-integration tools in the market so that they can use them as the need arises. Following are some of them -

1 - Atomsphere - This tool integrates applications from Cloud, SaaS and on-premise systems. Hence, it can be a good option for hybrid architecture.

2 - Cleo - This integration tool allows the enterprises to integrate a number of cloud platforms, SaaS, APIs and connectors. Hence, this is also a good choice for a hybrid architecture.

3 - SnapLogic - Its intelligent integration platform provides integration across applications, databases, data warehouses, big data streams and IoT deployments.  Hence, it also enables different types of integration on the architecture.

4 - WebMethods - This platform enables SIs to integrate applications, clouds, mainframe systems and IoT devices, thus providing a wide array of integrating applications.

5 - WSO2 - This is an open-source hybrid integration platform that offers graphical and CLI tooling, integration runtimes and monitoring with several deployment options.

The SIs should keep on updating themselves with the evolving integration tools so that they can cater to the needs of the market.
