5 Shops Sealed in Kamla Nagar; ADCTA Issues Appeal to the shopkeepers to wear masks and follow Corona protocol to avoid mishaps

Kamla Nagar SDM (Civil Lines) Rajiv Ranjan reached the market of the locality to inspect the condition of Corona regulations there. He found that many shops were not following the odd-even rule. Large crowds were gathered in many places in the market. People and the shopkeepers were not following the precautionary guidelines of Corona.

As a result, 10 large shops were fined Rs 50,000/- and 5 small shops were fined Rs 10,000/-.

Five shops were also sealed for breaking the Corona guidelines protocol.

Rajiv Ranjan said that these measures were taken because of Corona protocol being broken in the market area.

The shopkeepers of the locality were strictly instructed to follow the Corona protocol.

Kamla Nagar Traders Association President Nitin Gupta said that as soon as the inspection reached Kamla Nagar Market, small stalls on the pavements began to shut down and stall owners and people began to escape.

In the wake of the strict measures imposed in Kamla Nagar Market, ADCTA has issued an appeal to its members and to the general traders' bodies.

The statement from ADCTA has been issued in the name of ADCTA President Mahinder Aggarwal and Genral Secretary Swaran Singh.

The statement appeals to the traders saying that they should follow the guidelines regarding Corona in the wake of rising cases of Omicron. The government is taking strict steps against shops that are not complying with the Corona protocol. Hence, the shopkeepers should open their shops following the odd-even rule and wear masks at all times. They should ask their staff and customers also to wear masks.

The notice further says that those who have not got themselves vaccinated so far should get the vaccine at the earliest.

ADCTA advises the shopkeepers to restrict their goods and displays in a limited area to avoid the growth of crowds in the market areas.

If the shopkeepers see anyone without mask, they should request the person with folded hands to wear mask.
