Work on the Com IT Expo 2007 is in full swing, and the Trade IT Association (TAIT),
which is organizing the event, has managed to sell 60 percent of the stall
space. This has given the association reason to go full steam ahead and sell the
remainder space well before the event, which will be held from December 7 to 10,
2007 at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

"It is too premature to comment whether vendors will showcase their new
products or not. But most of them are very happy with the format of the event
and are looking at interacting with a wide gamut of partners and end
customers," said Chetan Shah of Xpress Computers, one of the executive
council members of TAIT.

Some of the vendors who have already signed up for the larger pavilions at
the event include Intel, Samsung, Epson, Microsoft, Kingston, AOC, Gemini,
Microworld, iBall, Canon, HCL, Xerox, Tally, Targus, Logitech, etc.
Confirmations from other vendors is also pouring in, officials at TAIT informed.

The association hopes to make this event an annual feature and is trying to
position it as a premier event in the country. The idea is to have non-Indian
vendors participate in the expo and showcase their products to the channel and
customers and sign up new alliances along the way.
