HIS PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE
He often quotes, "The milky way of Galaxy/universe we live in is 2,600 mn year old and a human's average life span is around just 70 years. It is imperative that in such a short span of life we should make it worth living and do things that are meaningful and well remembered." He believes in doing things out of passion and not with obsession, be it in his professional or social or personal endeavors.
CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION
Born at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, he is youngest among his siblings. He had been an established leader right through his childhood and even now spends valuable time as Alumni of all the schools and colleges he had studied and represents quite a few social and cultural forums.
He is a B.Tech in Electronics and communication Engineering (1979-83) from JNT University, Hyderabad. He also pursued his higher studies in ‘Computer Architecture and Design' and ‘Personal Management and Behavioral Sciences from IISc, Bangalore. He had worked in the fields of Teaching, Process control Instrumentation, Power Conditioning and UPS solutions, Marketing Mainframes and mini computers for over 10 years, before he started his own company Par Data Systems in 1994 in Bengaluru
THE BEGINNING OF PAR DATA SYSTEMS
Rao developed his interest in the concepts, topologies, protocols and standards of networking. During early 90's, the industry projected great future for PC Networking as Mainframes and Mini computers were fading away and the era of microcomputers and PCs ushered in with the need for networking them together.
As a first generation entrepreneur in 1994, Ananda Rao started Par Data Systems. He began with solutions like PC based, printing and networking integration. Soon the company grabbed all the opportunities that came in to expand its customer base and offerings.
PAR DATA SYSTEMS GOT HOLD OF 'IT DISTIBUTION' AT RIGHT TIME
Around 1997, with the growing popularity of PC Networking and Structured cabling, lots of MNC and Indian Vendors started their operation in both passive and active networking. In the absence of well-structured national distributors during that time, the vendors were on serious look out for regional distributors. Par Data Systems was flooded with offers and opportunities. With good amount of contemplation, Par Data Systems decided to get into IT distribution with a number of popular brands in switching, routing and structured cabling solutions.
The company saw good future with the new opportunities that were promising and rewarding and from then there was no looking back and it went on to establishe good amount of channel base in no time.

Par Data Systems drives its distribution line of business through 1000 committed SI channel partners in both Karnataka and Tamilnadu. With well-trained man-power in the faculties of sales, post sales, logistics, OFG, and business administration, the company has created its niche position in regional distribution and solution providing.

RAO-THE PERSON OUTSIDE THE BUSINESS ARENA
Ananda Rao is also the President of Federation of IT Dealers Association-Karnataka (FITDAK) where he tries to work towards protecting the interests of IT Trade channels.
He is passionate about music as he is one of the co-founders of popular Karaoke Music group in Bengaluru and most of its singing members are from IT fraternity. As he also admits, he enjoys cooking few niche dishes he likes most.
He enjoys driving himself long distances often in his SUV, with family on holidaying. He is a keen reader of ancient world history and evinces great interest in archeology.
HIS FAMILY
Mrs and Mr Rao recently completed their 25th wedding anniversary. Rao says, "My wife played a very pivotal role in shaping my business career. Also the first and best critic about my style of functioning is my wife'. His son is in the verge of completing his MS in LA and daughter studies her 4th semester in Engineering in Bengaluru.
Rao faces a big challenge of updating himself, restructuring his business and is keen on readying his children to get into his future business plans in India.
