Abacus unveils Asrock K8S8X mobos

Mumbai-based Abacus Peripherals, distributor of Taiwanese mother board
manufacturer Asrock Inc, has launched the Asrock K8S8X high-end mobo.

The product is an ATX motherboard supporting the Athlon XP 64-bit processor.
It adopts SiS 964 south bridge chipset that integrates RAID controller
supporting RAID 0 / RAID 1 / JBOD function with two independent serial ATA (SATA)
channels.

It supports DDR 400/333/266 FSB and has two DDR slots which supports a
maximum of 2GB RAM. It does not have integrated graphics; other features include
external AGP support, on-board LAN, 5 PCi slots and 1 AGP 8X slot. It supports
USB 2.0, a maximum of eight ports. This Mobo supports SATA HDD’s.

Asrock K8S8X’s is priced at Rs 5,000 for a dealer and comes with one-year
warranty from Abacus.
