Accton unveils: TigerStack

Accton Technologies has launched a new range of networking products under the
Tiger brand name. The SMC TigerStack II 6624M is a non-blocking switch offering
9.6 GBPS bandwidth. The unit offers 24 ports per switch and 16 such units can be
stacked, offering 386 ports under a single IP address. Features include port or
protocol based VLANs, GVRP VLAN registration, QOS priority queuing, IGMP
snooping and LACP.

The SMC Tiger Switch 1000 is a gigabit switch for high-end workstations and
servers. It offers QOS, VLAN support, multilink trunking, spanning tree support
and redundant power supply. For large networks, TigerChassis 10/100/1000 is a
powerful backbone switch that provides wire speed switching and Layer 2 and 3
routing for enterprise level applications.

It includes a built in management agent and routing engine with twelve slots
for media expansion modules. With 24 GBPS forwarding bandwidth and 96 ports,
this switch can efficiently merge with existing networks and improve overall
performance.

And the third member of this family is TigerCard 1000, a gigabit Ethernet
adapter, which can operate in both 32 bit and 64 bit mode. It supports all
popular network operating systems. Included with the card is a convenient
diagnostic and configuration utility to enable fast and easy installation.
