Acer India offered a Diwali bonanza to its customers on its TravelMate 293 EFXCi notebooks priced at Rs 39,999. It will introduce a DVD-R/CD-RW combo drive and 802.11 b and g integrated wireless capability in their entry level TravelMate notebook. This offer will provide first time notebook buyers sophisticated and advanced technology, data storage and transfer versatility, as well as enhanced end user mobility and connectivity options normally present in high end laptops.
With the TravelMate, Acer is also offering huge discounts on its TFT monitors. Acer's 15” black monitor with multimedia capabilities will be available at Rs 14,999, while the 17” monitor will be available at Rs 21,999 plus taxes. But this Diwali, customers can avail of a special bundle offer (15 and 17 inch monitors put together) at just Rs 35,999. TFT monitors have both space and power saving advantages, low health hazards and enhanced aesthetics. In addition, Acer TFT monitors have a backlit life of 40,000 hours.

The TravelMate 293 EFXCi has an Intel Celeron M Processor 330 Mhz, a super performance processor that's 45% better than the Celeron 2.8GHz. It also has a combo drive where one can play CDs, read DVDs and burn CDs. It offers the user a 14.1” TFT screen, wireless LAN and a Linux operating system. This product comes with a one year international travelers warranty. Fully equipped with inbuilt speakers, this notebook has a high contrast ratio and brightness. Acer has a wide range of notebooks in the TravelMate Series including the TM 240 Series, TM 250 Series, TM 290 Series, TM 2000 Series, TM 2500 Series, TM 370 Series, TM 6000 Series, TM 8000 Series, TM C300 (Tablet PC) and the Acer Ferrari 3000 notebook.
