Acer commences 'Acer mania II'

Acer India has announced their latest exclusive retail scheme, designed

specifically for their branded stores across the country for JFM 2008 quarter.

Called 'Acer Mania II' it is open to all Acer Malls and Acer Points across the

country.

Acer Mania II has been designed to reward retail partners via a host of

schemes available to them on a monthly and quarterly basis, which is over and

above the regular schemes available for them. These include monthly booster

schemes, rewards for achieving quarter targets and rewards for up selling.

S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing officer, Acer India said, "The retail

industry is becoming a more mature market in India. The consumer has multiple

choices of brands each day and retailing has become a key medium to reach out to

customers. In such a scenario, it is very important to reward and recognize the

efforts of our retail community. This incentive scheme is one of the many

initiatives that we have for our retail partners."

The Acer Mania II scheme is split into five sub schemes called - "Mr.

Dependable", "Mad about AMD challenge", "Acer - MS Genuine

Software Challenge", "Digital Lifestyle Evangelist" and the

"Top Gun Challenge".

The "Mr. Dependable" contest rewards those partners who achieve

their target every month in the quarter. The "Mad about AMD challenge"

award is an exclusive contest on AMD notebooks and Desktops where Acer will

continue to test the demand for AMD within the retail community. The other

initiative in partnership with Microsoft to reward partners who buy machines

with a pre loaded Microsoft OS is the "Acer - MS Genuine Software

Challenge". The "Digital Lifestyle Evangelist" contest is a

reward program based on Acer's premium lifestyle product. Lastly, the "Top

Gun Challenge"- is a six-month challenge that has been in operation since

October '07 and continues to run through this quarter; the winners of this

contest will be rewarded with an opportunity to attend the retail conference in

Europe.
