Acer’s sub-Rs 21K desktop

Acer has introduced a sub-Rs 21,000 AMD Athlon-based consumer desktop. The
new Acer APSLe-M is a glossy black color, Linux-based multimedia desktop with an
AMD Athlon XP 2400 processor, 128MB RAM, 40GB hard drive, CD-ROM and 1.44 FDD.
It also has a 15" CRT monitor, speakers with sub-woofer and a modem. It has
an end-user price of Rs 20,999.

The machine has three drives: 5.25" x 3 external, 3.5" x 2 external
and 3.5" x 1 internal. It has two PS/2 ports and one each of a 9-pin serial
port, 15-pin parallel port, ethernet RJ45 port, VGA port and audio and game
ports. The product comes with a one-year warranty.
