Acer unveils MaxMini desktop

Acer announced the formal launch of the MaxMini small form factor PC
Aspire L310-E63 and L310-E63 TV in India. The ultra slim three liter box,
combined with Intel Core2 Duo technology, is high on power saving and offers up
to 40 percent increased performance in a compact desktop available at the
optimal cost.

S Rajendran, GM - Sales and Marketing, Acer India, said that this
MaxMini desktop is first of its kind in the market and does not compromise any
features when compared to any average tower PC.

The Aspire L 310 series includes Intel Core2 Duo technology, with
SATA-3G/S hard disk up to 400 GB, offers 90 percent saving in real estate with
its space saving design and the unique Terminal Design takes away the heat of
hard disk.

With the MaxMini PC, power consumption is lowered up to 65 percent.
With lowest noise level (26db), MaxMini is lightweight and easily camouflaged in
any environment, said Rajendran.

With system memory of 512 MB DDR RAM, upgradeable to 2GB and storage
capacity of 160 GB SATA, the Acer Aspire L310 series has an integrated optical
DVD writer, wireless LAN/USB MMKbd with a USB Optical Mouse, 10/100 Network
Integrated Card (NIC), IEEE 1394 port and on board sound and graphics.

Rajendran said, “We have been able to strike a perfect balance in small
form factor computing that offers the end-user maximum benefits by way of
functionality, ROI, performance and acoustic enjoyment, all this at a minimum
power-consumption, size, noise and weight. We have broken all margins without
compromising on features, a first in the industry.”

Acer Aspire L310 series is also equipped with e-security and
e-performance. It also provides with one-button recovery feature and the
anti-theft Kensington lock slot.

Targeting the mass market, SME, corporate and home segment, Rajendran
said that in the first phase, Acer will be targeting five cities — Delhi,
Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai and will extend to nine cities in the
second phase. They are also targeting select verticals like BPO, Banks and
Hospitality sector.

Rajendran said that apart from Acer malls, the company is planning to
attach with metros and e-zones to showcase and provide a live demo of the
product. In a quarter the company is targeting to sell around 1000 units.

The Acer Aspire L310 E63 and L310 E63TV are priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs
49,999 respectively with a one-year onsite warranty and Lifetime Anti Virus from
E Trust.
