In order to build an ecosystem of partners and achieve higher growth, Adobe
Systems has appointed Redington as their second national distributor. It may be
noted that Adobe already has Ingram Micro as their national distributor.
Throwing light on the reasons behind appointing yet another distributor, Sandeep
Mehrotra, Director Sales, Adobe Systems stated, "When we look into the
growth that we are targeting, it was more appropriate to have two distributors
across the country. With this initiative, the partners should be able to meet
the customer requirements and also upgrade them about the latest technology
offerings from Adobe. We want Redington to focus on the complete range of
products available with us."
In addition, Redington will also serve as the adobe licensing center which in
turn will help the distributor in driving the entire range of products from
Adobe. "We are also looking at building an ecosystem of partners to help
our growth in the coming years. Having a second distributor would help us
generate incremental revenue by exploring newer geographies and acquiring new
partners."
Adobe is also looking at expansion into the South in their bid to have a pan
India presence. Elaborating on the same Mehrortra said, "All our business
was primarily limited to Delhi thus far. We are now looking at other state
capitals as well and want to enhance the presence of our reseller partners in
other locations too."
Adobe has close to 60 reseller partners across the country and will look to
increase the number in the current fiscal given their expansion plans. "We
are looking at increasing the channel network but that would depend on where the
requirement is because there may be some partners in some cities who will be
focusing only on few of our products and not the entire range," added
Mehrotra.
