AMD fortifies India presence

AMD has opened its second research and design facility in Hyderabad. The new
30,000 sq ft centers will accommodate a growing team of R&D employees focusing
on next-generation AMD graphics and computing solutions.

Dirk Meyer, President and COO, AMD, who inaugurated the center said, "India's
talented pool of engineering resources makes it one of the most important
technology centers in the world."

Dasaradha Gude, VP and MD of the Hyderabad Research & Development Center
joined Meyer at the opening ceremonies. "The original Hyderabad center has been
working on leading edge technology over the last four years. Those designs are
in many of the most popular consumer electronic devices today," said Gude.
