APC expands its Back-UPS family

APC has announced an expansion of its Back-UPS family with the introduction
of the RS 1000VA IN and 1500VA IN units. These products offer more outlets,
automatic voltage regulation and a longer backup time.

The RS provides high-level battery back up and complete surge protection that
includes data line protection to safeguard PCs, home theater and
telecommunication devices. It offers versatile mounting for either floor
standing or as a (2U) shelf mount.

This UPS offers users replaceable batteries and incorporates an intelligent
battery management system that maximizes battery performance and reliability.
Additionally, it can extend its back up time to 360 minutes with a purchase of
an extra battery pack.

The
RS supplies up to 90 minutes of backup time for a typical computer system and
the Back-UPS RS 1500 IN will supply up to 120 minutes of backup time.

Both the units come with a two-year comprehensive warranty (covering UPS and
battery). The Back-UPS RS 1000 IN and RS 1500 IN is available at a price of Rs
12,750 and Rs 16,600, respectively.
