Bangalore-based Apsis Technologies has recently introduced Aambertech, its
line of cabling products, in Kolkata. The company has appointed Balaji Solutions
as the sole distributor in the region. “We are very optimistic about the
scenario in Kolkata. It has emerged as a driver for LAN as well as WAN
technologies in the East,” said Saptarshi Sinha, Regional Manager-East,
Apsis Technologies.
Apsis range of products includes-APW President, Intellinet and Aambertech.
While APW is centered on racks, wall-mount cabinets, open frame rack and
shelves; Intellinet comprises of all 'active' (power consuming units)
components featuring KVM switches, routers and network IP cameras.
“As of now, we would only be launching Aambertech range of cabling products
in East. However, in the third quarter, we are planning to introduce Intellinet
as well in Kolkata,” Sinha added.
The company with gross revenue of Rs 10 lakh monthly plans to start their
marketing, sales and operations in Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Patna, Siliguri and
Guwahati. “Retail business comprises of the bulk of Apsis' revenue. Retail
is the most lucrative option available today, but there are several hazards
associated with it, particularly as the purchase volume is low. The projects we
have undertaken comprise about 60 percent of the total revenue, and we are
looking forward to work on more projects,” Sinha emphasized.
In order to increase its marketshare, Apsis would soon be revising its
channel strategies and distributorship model by mid-August.
In Kolkata, Aambertech is currently implemented at Fort Group across the city
and the upcoming five-star project by Sakar Plaza Group. Also, the company has
been the OEM supplier of the cables in the BHEL project at Salt Lake.
Centered on the latest cabling solutions and fibre-wires to the Ambertech
portfolio, Apsis has a third party manufacturing unit in Singapore and an owned
counterpart in Bangalore.
