New Delhi-based Artek Enterprises' decision to continue focusing on the
government sector paid off once again last FY. Adding to its portfolio the SI
also entered into some crucial tie-ups to complement its system and network
integration business.
These included Sanyo and RBH Access Technologies for their security and
surveillance products. On the SI front, the organization partnered with Bosch,
Samsung, Pelco and Sony. Checkpoint was an addition to its distribution
business.
These decisions were instrumental in giving Artek Enterprises a steady growth
of 20 percent last FY. Last year, the company also focused on the Indian Army
for its SI business with new technologies like Ultra High Frequency (UHF), WiMax
and CCTV. The focus on tapping into the army business will continue as will the
focus on the education segment. Every year Artek increases its staff count by
5-10 percent and last year the SI added 18 members to its organization. Among
the major projects that added to the revenue of the company were the ones
undertaken for Aligarh Muslim University, Indian Army-HQ 16 Corps and Northern
Railway Moradabad.
