Indian headquarters in Mumbai
AsusTek Inc India has opened its first dedicated Service Center at its Indian headquarters in Mumbai. This service center is aimed at providing after sales support to the local notebook end user customers directly from company. Speaking on the occasion, Sujit Chowdhury, Service Manager Asus India said, “This center will become a role model for the industry in terms of responsiveness to queries, assurance of quality service and empathy to customer queries. All these factors would lead to customer satisfaction in the true sense of the word.” The Asus India Service Center would be a point of direct contact between the notebook end-user and the company. It would serve as not only a servicing hub, but also a location where the customer would be able to experience the maximum potential of his product.
The company feels that by opening a direct service center, the value addition to the notebook customers would be highly enhanced. Presently, support is also provided through the company's channel partners and also through authorized service providers. Notebook customers have to register with the company as a Global Service Member (GSM). This would entitle them to be eligible for a two-year international warranty. The service center would significantly reduce the time required for servicing the notebook. In certain common cases the repair time would be as low as merely two hours. According to Andrew Tsui, MD, Asus Asia Pacific and Middle East, “With an average of 18% growth in the worldwide notebook market, the potential is vast. As we look forward to a very significant customer base in India, the need for the enhancement of service capabilities is necessary. This service center would gradually pave the way for more such outlets across many locations in India.”
