Asus ties up with Redington for notebook distribution

AsusTeK Computer India announced its partnership with
Redington India as one of its distributors for the notebook business in India.
The tie—up

will be formally signed next week.

Said Richard Chen, Business Manager-Notebook Business, Asus
India, "The Asus team feels excited about this tie-up with Redington in
notebook business. With mutual trust, benefit and sharing, I am sure that this
alliance will bring about success and increasing rewards for more channel
partners and notebook users."

Redington serves more than 8,000 resellers across 450 cities
all over India and is already one of the distributors for Asus' component
business. Apart from sales, it will also take care of the notebook after-sales
service at major locations all over India.

Said JS Kulkarni, CEO, Redington India Ltd, "Asus is a
fairly new player in the Indian notebook market and the partnership with
Redington will boost the brand and will create a win-win situation for all. The
notebook market is exploding and there are many new opportunities that this
partnership can address."

Asus India started its notebook business in October 2005 and
has since introduced various new models. It is presently concentrating on its
notebook business in the premium and the mainstream category, which are targeted
at business users, as well as end consumers who prefer carrying lightweight
notebooks without compromising on features and quality.
