Asus unveils the P4S8X-X motherboard

The latest motherboard from Asus–the P4S8X-X–features the Intel Hyper-Threading technology, 3.06Ghz P4, AGP 8X, S/PDIF out, USB 2.0, and the 533 MHz FSB. It incorporates the SiS 648 chipset to support the socket 478 P4 platforms. 

With a memory of 3GB PC2700/2100/1600 non-ECC DDR SDRAM, the motherboard has expansion slots of 1xAGP 4X, 3xPCI, 1xCNR 6 PCI. It also has a VGA of 1 AGP 8XSlot.

The device has IDE Ports– 2xUltraDMA 133/100/66/33– and is AC´97 (3D) audio, 6-channel audio compliant and supports S/PDIF-out interface. With internal I/O Connectors–1xUSB 2.0 connector, it supports additional 2 USB 2.0 ports, and has CPU/Chassis/powerfan connectors, 20 pin panel connector and one game port. The motherboard features the CD/AUX audio in Back Panel I/O–1 parallel, 1 serial, 1 PS/2 keyboard/mouse, 4 USB 2.0,1 Audio I/O, and 1 RJ45 LAN.

It comes at a price of Rs 5,000.
