Autodesk raids illegal user in Hyderabad

Autodesk, a design and digital content creation company, has announced that

it has taken action against CAD/GIS Solutions, a Hyderabad-based company for

using illegal Autodesk software to conduct training, and for development,

placement and consultancy services.

The cooperative efforts of the Police task force and Autodesk resulted in a

raid that uncovered 26 PCs installed with unlicensed copies of AutoCAD 2000,

2002, Map, Autodesk CAD Overlay and Architectural Desktop and 3D Studio Max from

its head office in Mehdipatnam and a branch office in Ameerpet. The unlicensed

software valued at Rs 87 lakh were seized by the Police, sealed and taken into

custody.
